Memorial Day Weekend

After nearly eight months, we decided it was time to take Ben on his first road trip. Over Memorial Day weekend we headed down to the beach. The weather was only partially cooperative, but we were still able to take Ben both to the beach and the pool -- his first experience with both . . .


On Saturday afternoon we decked him out in full beach gear (and half of a gallon of sunscreen) and went to the beach. He knew he looked good and was happy to strike a pose or two:







After his photo shoot, he tested out the sand and, of course, had to taste it as well . . .







On Sunday, we decided to try the pool. Despite the cold water, Ben kicked back and relaxed as he floated around the pool:

All in all, a successful trip and looking forward to going back next month!
