Sad for Mom
Ben has a few words these days, things like "hi", "bye", "uh-oh", "juice", "please", and "dog". But so far he hasn't said "mama" or "dada" which, as you might imagine, makes me a little sad. "Mama" didn't have to be his first word, but I was hoping for second or third. Well today, he added two new words, "dada" and "digger". SERIOUSLY, "digger"?!?!

Where did "digger" come from??? Travis wants to know if he was watching the Nascar race, apparently the little cartoon gopher's name is Digger. I've started saying "mama" to the girls nonstop in a very early attempt, their first word will probably be Lucy or something....
ReplyDeleteDigger is apparently what those construction bulldozer like things are that dig up dirt -- or at least that is what they are called in little kid books. His favorite books right now are all books about trucks and several of them have diggers in them. He points to the digger and says "digger" or something very close to that. Otherwise we would never have figured that one out!! Hopefully you will have better luck with mama than I have!
