Elmo Party!

Since Ben loves Elmo we decided who better to help us celebrate Ben's 2nd birthday! Unfortunately, it was sort of a chaotic morning prior to the party and Matt and I were a bit flustered by the time it was party time (mainly due to the fact that it was 90 degrees outside and our air conditioning completely froze that morning) and for this reason (and the fact that i'm just not good at remembering to take pictures) I didn't end up with very good pictures from the party. I am vowing to do better!

Ben is all about choo-choos these days and we have had lots of fun playing choo choos everyday! He is so funny. You can only play with the train he gives you to play with (often a coal car or some other less desirable cargo car).

I still can't believe Ben is 2 years old! How is this possible?!? We went to the doctor for his 2 year check-up this morning. He is 35 1/2 inches tall (75%) and 29 lbs 6 oz (70%) and, of course, his head circumference is still off the chart (lots of brains according to his pediatrician)! And for the first time ever, I was able to circle "yes" on all of the 2 year old milestones. Such an amazing little boy and so much fun to see all the new things he does and says each and every day!
